Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Focuses on Roads, Parks and Chhath Ghat Development
Rekha Gupta visited the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency to inaugurate several public development projects and review the ongoing construction of the Chhath Ghat at the Munak Canal. During her visit, the Chief Minister inspected multiple civic infrastructure projects aimed at improving public facilities and urban development in the area. One of the key highlights of the visit was the inspection of the under-construction Chhath Ghat at Munak Canal. The Chief Minister directed officials to complete the work within the fixed timeline while maintaining high-quality standards. She emphasized the importance of ensuring proper cleanliness, lighting, safety, and other facilities for devotees who celebrate Chhath Mahaparva at the site. Apart from reviewing the Chhath Ghat project, Rekha Gupta also inaugurated several civic development works in Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura. These included the construction of walkways, boundary walls in parks, roads, drainage systems, parking facilities, and public toilets in the DDA market area. In Pitampura’s AP Block and KP Block Complex, she reviewed ongoing projects related to roads, footpaths, redevelopment of parks, drainage improvements, and other public amenities. The Chief Minister said that these projects are being developed to meet the needs of local residents and to support the growing infrastructure demands of urban areas. She added that improved roads, organized parking, modern drainage systems, and clean surroundings would help reduce traffic congestion and waterlogging problems in the area. Sharing updates on social media, Rekha Gupta said that a modern civic infrastructure is being built in Shalimar Bagh with a focus on long-term urban planning and public convenience. She also mentioned that the Munak Canal Chhath Ghat, once lacking basic facilities, is now being transformed into a well-equipped and organized site that respects the faith and traditions of devotees. A large number of local residents and public representatives, including Municipal Councillor Anita Jain, were present during the inauguration and inspection programs. The Delhi government stated that it is working in a planned manner to strengthen infrastructure and improve civic amenities in rapidly developing urban regions across the capital.
