New Roads, Water Supply, and Health Facilities Boost District Growth

*Shri Vishnu Deo Sai dedicates, lays foundation for 341 development works worth Rs 295 Crore in Janjgir-Champa* Raipur, June 14, 2026 Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday dedicated and laid the foundation stone for 341 development projects worth over Rs 295 crore in Janjgir-Champa district, aiming to strengthen infrastructure and improve public services across the region. At a programme held in Podi (Racha) village of Nawagarh block, Shri Sai dedicated 159 completed projects worth over Rs 70.10 crore and performed the “Bhoomipoojan”ceremony for 182 new projects valued at more than Rs 224.90 crore. The projects span key sectors including roads, drinking water supply, irrigation, healthcare, urban infrastructure and rural development. According to the Chief Minister, the initiatives will expand basic amenities, improve public convenience and accelerate the district’s overall development. After inaugurating the completed works and performing rituals for the new projects, Shri Sai said the package marks a significant milestone for Janjgir-Champa and reflects the state government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive development across Chhattisgarh. The 159 projects inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai include works undertaken by the Water Resources Department, Forest Department, Rural Engineering Services, Public Works Department, Public Health Engineering Department, CGMSC, Urban Administration Department, and Panchayat & Rural Development Department. Similarly, the 182 projects for which foundation stones were laid include major development works of the Water Resources Department, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Public Works Department, CGMSC, Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board, Urban Administration Department, and Panchayat & Rural Development Department. Among those present at the event were Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, and Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Shri Saurabh Singh along with public representatives were present on the occasion.
