Government Pushes Infrastructure Development in Tribal Region

*Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Dedicates and Lays the Foundation Stone for Development Works Worth Rs. 9.65 Crore in Jashpur District* Raipur, June 20, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai dedicated and laid the foundation stones for nine development works in the Kunkuri Assembly constituency during a programme held at the College of Agriculture and Research Centre in Kunkuri, Jashpur, on June 20. The total cost of these development works is over Rs. 9.65 crore. He laid the foundation stone of four projects and dedicated five completed works to the people of Jashpur. Congratulating residents on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that development projects are not limited to construction alone but bring better facilities, new opportunities and prosperity into people's lives. He stated that these projects would strengthen road connectivity, electricity infrastructure, sanitation facilities and rural development in the Kunkuri Assembly constituency while improving public services for citizens. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously expanding basic infrastructure to improve the lives of villagers, farmers, people with low incomes and youth. Ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person remains the government's highest priority. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government remains committed to expanding infrastructure in rural areas and that such development projects will play a significant role in the region's overall growth and progress. *CM Lays the Foundation Stone for Four Projects Worth Rs. 6.74 Crore* Chief Minister Shri Sai laid the foundation stone for four development works worth Rs. 6.74 crore under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and the Public Works Department. Under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, he laid the foundation stones for a Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant costing Rs. 31.68 lakh and for the construction of a culvert near Bhajano Ghar in Beharatoli of Gram Panchayat Pagurabahar at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh. Similarly, under the Public Works Department, he laid the foundation stones for the construction of a 2-kilometre approach road from Malaria Basti in Gram Panchayat Charaidand to National Highway-43 at a cost of Rs. 2.20 crore, and a 3.10-kilometre road from Ghasimunda to Korwatoli (Gram Panchayat Kohpani) at a cost of Rs. 4.12 crore. These projects are expected to improve transportation facilities in rural areas and provide momentum to social and economic activities. *CM Dedicates Five Projects Worth Rs. 2.90 Crore to the people* The Chief Minister also dedicated five development works constructed at a total cost of Rs. 2.90 crore. Under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, he dedicated four projects worth Rs. 40 lakh to the people. These include an RCC culvert on the Harijan Basti approach road in Gram Panchayat Jokbahla, an RCC culvert on the Madheshwar Mahadev Hill Road in Gram Panchayat Jokari, a CC road in Dumartoli settlement of Gram Panchayat Dodapani, and a culvert on the Uparghincha–Ghurdajor road in Gram Panchayat Hethghincha. *Kudukela Power Substation to Strengthen Electricity Supply* Chief Minister Shri Sai also dedicated a 33/11 KV, 3.15 MVA Kudukela Power Substation, constructed by the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore. With the commissioning of the substation, villages including Jamtoli, Gadbahar, Tukupani, Bartoli, Pandra, Sukhapokhar, Jamchuwan, Kudukela, Sardih, Ginabahar, Toppo Bagan, Rengarghat, Siyawar Chowk, Chatakpur, Bene, Basantoli, Kuhumuda, Bhelwatoli and Navapara will receive improved and reliable electricity supply. The facility is expected to directly benefit agricultural activities, domestic consumers, and small business establishments while strengthening the region's rural economy.
