Chhattisgarh Strengthens Digital Services Through Regulatory Reforms

Raipur, July 1, 2026/ A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel on Wednesday reviewed the draft Ease of Doing Business (Deregulation and Facilitation) Bill, 2026 and a regulatory reform framework aimed at boosting investment, expanding digital services, and simplifying governance. The meeting discussed measures to make business processes simpler, more transparent, and time-bound, while improving access to government services. The proposed framework includes strengthening the Invest Chhattisgarh platform, simplifying 180 government services, integrating nine departments, and implementing reforms based on five core principles. Shri Vikas Sheel directed departments to coordinate on process simplification, expand digital services, and create a transparent, investor-friendly ecosystem. He said the proposed reforms would accelerate investment, improve the ease of doing business, and enable faster, more efficient delivery of public services. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Home and Jail Department, Smt. Niharika Barik Singh; Principal Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Smt.Sushma Sawant; Secretary, General Administration Department, Shri Avinash Champawat; Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, Shri Rajat Kumar; Secretary, Urban Administration Department, Ms R Shangeeta; Secretary, Housing and Environment Department, Shri Ankit Anand; Secretary, Chief Minister's Department and Commercial Tax Department, Shri Mukesh Kumar Bansal; Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, Dr S Bharathidasan, along with senior officials.
