‘Hauslon Ki Udaan 2026-27’ Launched to Boost Delhi Youth Talent and Dreams
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday launched the “Talent Hunt Scheme – Hauslon Ki Udaan 2026-27,” an ambitious initiative aimed at discovering, nurturing, and promoting the hidden talents of young people across Delhi. The scheme is designed to provide a strong platform for youth aged between 16 and 35 years to showcase their skills and gain recognition at both national and international levels. Speaking at a press conference held at Jan Seva Sadan, the Chief Minister said the program is not just a competition but a movement to encourage confidence, creativity, and self-reliance among Delhi’s youth. She also unveiled the official logo of the scheme, describing it as a symbol of dreams, aspirations, and the soaring spirit of young talent in the capital. Delhi Arts, Culture, and Languages Minister Kapil Mishra was also present during the launch event. Under the scheme, talent competitions will be organized in all 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi. The Delhi government has allocated a budget of ₹10 crore for the initiative, and more than 25,000 young participants are expected to take part. Authorities stated that the entire process will be transparent, systematic, and conducted in multiple phases to ensure equal opportunities for every contestant. The competition will cover seven major categories, including singing, dancing, acting and theatre, instrumental music, music composition, fine and digital arts, as well as sculpture and pottery. Singing and dance categories will further include classical, folk, and modern styles, allowing participants from diverse cultural backgrounds to compete and express their creativity. The talent hunt will take place in four phases, giving participants multiple opportunities to perform and progress through the competition. Registration for the program has been made completely free of cost. Interested candidates can apply through the official portal, [www.delhitalenthunt.com](https://www.delhitalenthunt.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), where they can also access updates, schedules, and detailed information about the competition. To encourage participation, the government has also announced attractive cash prizes. The winner of the competition will receive ₹2.5 lakh, while the second, third, and fourth positions will receive ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh respectively. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that “Hauslon Ki Udaan” is more than a talent search initiative. According to her, the scheme aims to create a powerful identity for Delhi’s youth while promoting inclusiveness, accessibility, diversity, and employment opportunities. She said the program would help talented young people become self-reliant and inspire others to follow their dreams with confidence.
